Physiotherapist, MSK Sonographer
David Harris is an experienced Physiotherapist and MSK Sonographer with more than 25 years’ experience in sports and musculoskeletal practice. He specialises in diagnostic MSK ultrasound, ultrasound-guided interventions and advanced clinical assessment.
He is a Senior Lecturer in MSK Ultrasound with SMUG, teaching diagnostic scanning, ultrasound-guided injection techniques and the clinical application of sonography. His teaching is grounded in extensive hands-on experience and a strong focus on practical clinical reasoning.
David also works as an Independent Prescriber and performs a range of ultrasound-guided procedures, including corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections and hydrodistension. He brings a highly practical, clinically focused approach to teaching, shaped by decades of work in sports, orthopaedics and elite athlete rehabilitation.
