Joshua Wheatley

Joshua Wheatley is an experienced Physiotherapist and MSK Sonographer with specialist expertise in diagnostic MSK ultrasound, ultrasound-guided interventions and advanced musculoskeletal practice. He holds a CASE-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound and has been using point-of-care ultrasound clinically since 2017.

Joshua leads a number of NHS clinics integrating diagnostic ultrasound and image-guided procedures into musculoskeletal care and performs hundreds of ultrasound-guided interventions each year. He also developed a dedicated hydrodistension service for patients with frozen shoulder.

His extensive clinical sonography workload gives him a strong practical foundation for education, with particular expertise in image acquisition, interventional ultrasound and integrating scan findings with clinical reasoning and patient management.
