Physiotherapist, MSK Sonographer
Luke Millward is an experienced Physiotherapist and MSK Sonographer with specialist expertise in diagnostic MSK ultrasound, ultrasound-guided interventions and ultrasound education. He qualified as a musculoskeletal sonographer in 2016 and holds both a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Sonography and a Postgraduate Diploma in Interventional Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
A significant part of Luke’s work is dedicated to ultrasound education. He teaches diagnostic MSK ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injection therapy with SMUG, combining practical scanning skills with clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
Luke also brings extensive high-volume clinical experience across NHS and private practice, alongside contributions to national MSK ultrasound guidelines and peer-reviewed research. This combination of sonography, intervention, research and education gives him a strong practical and academic foundation as an ultrasound lecturer.
