Physiotherapist, MSK Sonographer
Stewart Ramsay is an experienced Physiotherapist and MSK Sonographer with more than 20 years’ experience across the NHS, private practice and professional sport. He holds a PGCert in MSK Ultrasonography with distinction and a PGCert in MSK ultrasound-guided injections, alongside qualification as an Independent Prescriber.
A significant part of Stewart’s work focuses on diagnostic MSK ultrasound and ultrasound-guided intervention, using imaging alongside clinical assessment to investigate complex musculoskeletal presentations and guide treatment.
Teaching is also an established part of his career. Stewart has worked as a higher education physiotherapy tutor, is an MACP tutor, and has supported the teaching of doctors, physiotherapists and osteopaths on postgraduate MSK ultrasound training. His combination of clinical sonography, advanced MSK practice and education gives him a highly practical approach to ultrasound teaching.
