Chris Myers

Chris Myers is an experienced Physiotherapist and MSK Sonographer with more than 20 years’ experience in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. He holds a PGCert in MSK Sonography, is an Independent Prescriber, and uses diagnostic ultrasound extensively to assess muscle, tendon, ligament, joint and nerve pathology. He also performs more than 500 ultrasound-guided injections each year.

A major part of Chris’s work is dedicated to MSK ultrasound education. He is SMUG Faculty Lead and lectures nationally and internationally, teaching diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided intervention at universities, professional sports clubs, courses and conferences. He is also a visiting lecturer at UCL and Canterbury Christ Church University.

Chris has particular expertise in tendon and shoulder pathology and brings extensive experience from elite sport, private practice and the NHS. His teaching is strongly practical, combining scanning technique, image interpretation and clinical reasoning to help clinicians integrate ultrasound confidently into everyday MSK practice.
