Dr Lorenzo Masci

Dr Lorenzo Masci is a Consultant in Sports & Exercise Medicine with internationally recognised expertise in diagnostic MSK ultrasound, ultrasound-guided interventions and tendon pathology. He uses point-of-care ultrasound extensively in clinical practice, combining imaging with clinical assessment to guide diagnosis and management.

A significant part of Lorenzo’s work is dedicated to MSK ultrasound education. He is a Senior Lecturer in MSK Ultrasound with SMUG, teaching diagnostic ultrasound, advanced ultrasound-guided interventions and cadaveric injection courses. He lectures nationally and internationally and has presented across the UK and Europe.

Lorenzo also has a strong academic and research background, with more than 20 peer-reviewed publications covering tendinopathy, MSK ultrasound and ultrasound-guided intervention. His extensive experience in elite sport and interventional ultrasound gives him a highly practical, evidence-based approach to teaching.
