Dr Rahul Lakhera

Dr Rahul Lakhera is an experienced General Practitioner and Sports Doctor with a specialist focus on musculoskeletal medicine, diagnostic MSK ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from the University College of Osteopathy and a Diploma in Sports & Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath.

Ultrasound is an integral part of Rahul’s clinical practice. He uses diagnostic scanning alongside clinical assessment and performs a range of ultrasound-guided joint and soft-tissue procedures, including corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid and PRP injections, as well as prolotherapy. His experience spans both routine and complex MSK presentations.

Rahul also brings more than a decade of experience in elite sport, with previous roles at Leeds United FC, Hull City FC and Bradford Bulls RLFC, alongside senior NHS MSK roles. This combination of sonography, intervention and sports medicine gives him a strong practical foundation for teaching, linking ultrasound technique and interpretation with real-world clinical reasoning and patient management.
